The PREP Schools are high-quality early childhood education centers focused on nurturing the whole child with an emphasis on parent partnership. We combine play-based learning, social-emotional development, and early academics to prepare children for school and life.
We serve children from 6 weeks through 5th grade. Our programs include early childhood classrooms, private kindergarten (at most locations), and our ZONE programs for school-age students, which offer afterschool care and full day summer camp.
Our philosophy is rooted in emergent-style learning, where curriculum is informed by children’s interests, development, and curiosity. While we are not a play-based program, we offer structured curricula for every age group alongside meaningful opportunities for play, exploration, and hands-on learning.
Enrollment starts with an inquiry–whether on the phone, online, or in person, we are happy to chat! Once families decide The PREP is the right fit, we will send a quick link for registration paperwork and payment details to secure a spot.
Some programs and age groups may have a waitlist. We encourage families to inquire early to secure a spot by registering and paying the admissions and materials fee
Tuition varies by age group, schedule, and location. Please contact your local PREP School for current tuition information.
Each day includes structured learning aligned to age-appropriate curriculum, enrichment room experiences, outdoor play, meals and snacks, rest time (when applicable), and opportunities for creativity and movement.
Yes, weather permitting. Outdoor play is an important part of our program and supports physical, social, and emotional growth. If the weather does not permit, we have a multitude of enrichment areas that students can visit for gross motor development and physical activity.
Our programs focus on academic readiness, self-regulation, independence, and confidence. For families enrolled in our private kindergarten, we provide a structured, supportive environment designed to set students up for long-term academic success with curriculums found in partnering districts.
Yes. All PREP Schools operate in compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Safety is a top priority at The PREP Schools. Campuses feature secure biometric entry for parents and staff, background-checked employees, and recurring emergency drills for severe weather, fire safety, and lockdown preparedness. Staff also participate in ongoing safety training.
To protect all children and staff, we follow clear illness and exclusion guidelines. Families are asked to keep children home when sick and follow return-to-school requirements.
Our teachers meet or exceed state licensing requirements and receive ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
Yes. All staff are required to complete a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education each year, in addition to ongoing training focused on child development, curriculum implementation, safety, and best practices.
All PREP campuses serve an AM snack, lunch, and PM snack daily. Some locations also offer a sign-up based breakfast program prior to the morning snack. Meal details are shared during enrollment, and campus specific menus can be found on their website.
Yes. We work closely with families to accommodate allergies and dietary needs and follow strict allergy-awareness protocols.
We use digital communication tools, daily photo sharing, newsletters, and direct communication from teachers and school leadership to keep families informed.
Parents are always welcome on campus. To minimize classroom disruption, our locations offer closed-circuit cameras in the parent lounge, allowing families to observe their child’s day comfortably while maintaining a consistent classroom environment.
We use positive guidance and redirection strategies to support social-emotional development. Our approach focuses on teaching appropriate behavior, problem-solving skills, and empathy rather than punishment.
We approach holidays thoughtfully and inclusively, focusing on community, kindness, and learning while being respectful of diverse family traditions.
Families are encouraged to participate through events, feedback opportunities, and ongoing collaboration with teachers and staff.
